Anchor Trailways recently announced that it would deploy a new satellite security tracking system on its fleet of motorcoaches. This latest on-board GPS system is claimed to enable Anchor Trailways, in conjunction with law enforcement to spot and keep track of any Anchor Trailways motorcoach as it travels all through the U.S.
Vice President for Anchor Trailways Jared Stancil said,
Our passengers will have the added security of this GPS system along with the backup support we now have as being a member of the Trailways Transportation System. We are able to check on location, speed and activity of our motorcoaches at any time from any location with an Internet connection.
Trailways Transportation System is the standalone nationwide network of motorcoaches including a GPS tracking system offered to its member firms on the Internet. The system in due course of the day is capable of expanding to comprise on-board cameras & cellular communications. The Voyager GPS Technology is proprietary to Trailways Transportation System members on a national basis, and estimated end of the deployment is by the ending of the year
