‘Thanks to GPS’ would have been the exclamatory world of a father whose 13-year-old daughter was being sexually abused by a 28-year-old man, in OCALA. Yeas, this happened and was made possible only with the help of data from a satellite-tracking device that the helpless father put in her backpack. The information retrieved from the GPS device led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man on lewd and lascivious charges.

The dad revealed officials that he kept on keeping tabs on his daughter’s activities by making an access log of her cellular phone calls, and since it was made essential for the girl to carry a GPS device in her bag each time she leaves for her school or leave home by herself. The official were disclosed by the girl that on Aug 18, Carlos Antonio Montanez, her sister’s boyfriend, lift her form the bus stop and took her to his home. After reaching home, both of them talked for a while, watched a movie, and had sex.

To prove it, her father provided officials a GPS print out, which revealed the presence of his daughter in the vicinity where Montanez lives from 9:30 a.m. to 9:54 a.m. The navigation device also hinted at that the girl had been to one more address at 10:24 a.m. and hanged about there until 3:31 p.m.

An officer moved to Montanez’s home, on Thursday, who voluntarily went to the Sheriff’s Office for an interview. He then reportedly demanded a lawyer. Montanez was then shifted to the Marion County jail. He was charged with lewd and lascivious battery and was held pending payment of $50,000 bail.
