The bids of much awaited new generation of GPS satellites has been delayed, the Pentagon said. It will not deploy the GPS III satellite this year.
The multi- billion dollar upgrade of US GPS capabilities has been in works for about a decade and pentagon has apparently decided to extend its consideration of designs and timing for the new spacecraft.
