The bids of much awaited new generation of GPS satellites has been delayed, the Pentagon said. It will not deploy the GPS III satellite this year.



The multi- billion dollar upgrade of US GPS capabilities has been in works for about a decade and pentagon has apparently decided to extend its consideration of designs and timing for the new spacecraft.



GPS III satellites by 2013. For which some design changes ground facilities is likely to occur. The GPS III satellites will strengthen the American security.
