Equipped with satellite images and global positioning system software Bombay Natural History Society’s (BNHS) scientists are actively observing migratory birds at Rangavali near Navapur (India) who fly away from Eastern Europe and Central and Northern Asia. The three member BNHS team will try to find out in case any of the flown in birds are carrying bird flu or not. Till the reporting of this news no wild birds are found dead or unwell. The GPS software will allow the scientists to gauge and measure the distance of the local poultry firms. As the scientists believe that the effects can be a real disastrous if affected wild birds mingle with poultry ones. Though no such incident has been reported till now.
