TELE Atlas is very soon going to put an identifiable face to the names of local landmarks in its next-up GPS maps, with the aim of supporting drivers to locate their course around. Provider of digital maps to Nokia, Blackberry and several other manufacturers of in-car navsys, TELE Atlas has planned to come up with a 3-dimensional (3D) version of its Asian deliverance by the ending of this year.
GPS modules, which can be availed nowadays, present a bird’s eye view of road info, provided by turn-by-turn voice navigation, to guide users to their end points. But, Tele Atlas’ next-up Singapore map is claimed to display builds in 3D detail, thus rather than trusting in part on estimation; users are enabled instantaneously to spot their destinations. Plus rather than a top-down view, 3D GPS navigation also boasts of enabling for a real-life view as the user make way through the city, much as famous first-person racing games on PCs and gaming consoles
