Trimble recently made an announcement of supplying its (Virtual Reference Station) VRS software to set up a nationwide (GPS) Global Positioning System infrastructure network, the first of its kind in southern Poland. The VRS (Virtual Reference Station) network is claimed to be making a geospatial infrastructure possible for engineering, surveying as well (GIS) Geographic Information System professionals.
The network provides centimeter- level RTK GPS data for number of positioning applications integrating, road and bridge construction, geodetic and cadastral surveying and archeological excavation site location & documentation. The VRS network make high accurateness (RTK) Real Time Kinematic GPS positioning possible but for the requirement of different base stations or software, considerably escalating productivity & competence.
